Fire and Ice Fest - Downtown Rochester

Fire and Ice Fest returns to downtown Rochester for 2012 with free events and activities. Celebrate the best of winter in Michigan with free family fun!

2012 Rochester Fire and Ice Fest events and activities include:

  • Fireworks show on Friday night at 8p
  • tastefest featuring Rochester restaurants and microbrews
  • the return of The Big, Bright Light Show
  • snowshoeing and cross-country skiing will take place 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and noon – 3 p.m. Saturday
  • fire pits and marshmallow roasts
  • creating snowmen and snow angels (weather permitting)

2012 Rochester Fire and Ice Fest dates and hours:

Friday, February 24th, 2012 6p-9p
Saturday, February 25th, 2012 10a-6p

The original dates for Rochester Fire and Ice Fest 2012 were changed from January 27th through January 29th to February 24th through February 26th due to warm weather. The Fire and Ice Fest event is now Friday, February 24th and Saturday, February 25th only and the third originally scheduled day has been scrapped for 2012. Also, many of the snow-centered activities have been canceled or altered for 2012 Fire and Ice Fest. Hopefully the giant tube hill, sled dog races, and ice-skating return for 2013.

Fire and Ice Fest is hosted by: Oakland County, Oakland County Parks, the City of Rochester and The Downtown Rochester DDA.
