When I was young, my mom would always spruce up our hamburgers with some seasoned bread crumbs and an egg mixed into the ground beef. I got used to having burgers with more flavor, but needed to find a gluten free way to do it for my kids.
I came up with the Cauliflower Hamburger. Ok, the name sounds pretty weird, but my daughter loves these. It is made with ground pork and the cauliflower makes the meat really juicy. And, these are gluten free, dairy free... pretty much everything free! You can pair it up with your favorite gluten free hamburger bun, or just eat it plain.
Since I'm not one for measuring, here's a general outline for this recipe:
Ingredients
- ground pork
- diced onions
- cauliflower florets
- olive oil
- sea salt to taste
Directions
Saute cauliflower florets in olive oil. Add in onions. Saute until cauliflower and onions are soft. Mash cauliflower and onions until smooth. Add salt. Mix into ground pork and form into patties. Cook in fry pan.
