When my husband and I were dating, Max and Ermas was always one of our favorite restaurants. We just loved the food and the atmosphere. But since that was before kids, we didn't even realize how kid friendly it is, until we went to Max and Ermas for dinner recently with our children.
Most restaurants have the fun little activity placemats with crayons for the kids. But, the one at Max and Ermas was better than the rest and kept our kids pretty occupied. Max and Ermas had a cute "Just for Pups!" menu that had a great selection. Each of the seven different entrees came with a choice of one of five different sides! I love that there were healthy options and so many combinations to choose from. You could do fries, or you could choose fresh steamed vegetables or apple sauce. Each meal was reasonably priced at only $3.99.
The kids' drinks offered a fun, creative twist. There was nothing plain or simple about these concoctions. In addition to the basics, kids could choose Beetlejuice (grape juice, Sprite, and gummy worms), or Watermelon Fizz (Sprite and watermelon syrup with cherries on top), among others. They could even go all out and order a smoothie or a Volcano Blaster (Coke and a scoop of ice cream). The names of the drinks alone were intriguing for the kids.
And finally, the desert. Max and Ermas does not disappoint. For only .99 (with meal), kids can make a trip to the Sundae Bar... a bathtub filled with sundae toppings so the kids can build their own sundae, just how they love it.
